Ok, so its only been what, 4 months since my last post?? Yikes! So much has happened, its hard to know where to start!
Titan: Sweet puppy-we had such fun with him while we had him, but he was adding way too much stress to our already full plates. We found him a new home in January, but just down the street. He has a 2 year old big sister, a white boxer named Bella, and her family has 4 teenagers who have the time and energy to keep him busy. We were all (ahem..except Greg) a bit sad to see him go, but it really was best for him...and us too.
Lauryn: total crack up! She is going to school 2 days per week, 930-1, and just adores it! Her language has simply exploded since school started. She says things that I never even knew she knew about! Just the other day walking out of Red Robin after lunch with my parents, she stops and stands on the TV in the floor, and Tom and Jerry is playing...she looks up and says, "Oh, its my lucky day!!". She is also very interested in art right now...coloring, painting, playdough, you name it! No luck on the potty-training front as of yet. We had 2 sucessful trips to the potty earlier this week, but that was it. One day... Otherwise, she prefers to spend her days riding her bike with her buddy Jake, setting up picnics in the livngroom with all her friends (stuffed animals), or making meals for us with her play kitchen.
Brandon: What a year! He has been doing amazingly well in school this year! His teacher sent me an email the other day complimenting him on how well behaved and polite he is at school. Bran also started gymnastics ! He is in an all boys class and has a knack for it. He has no fear and has picked it up so quickly, there is talk of moving him up to the next level already-after just 4 classes!!
Jared: Almost 9??? How did that happen? I'm not old enough to have a 9 year old!! At least I feel that way. Jared is also doing fabulously in school this year, excelling at math and spelling. He is also learning how to touch type and has passed up to his 11's on his timed multiplication tests. Soccer is his game, and we've been rained or snowed out of most of the practices and games since we started him in this new soccer club. We were scheduled for a tournament today, which was cancelled because the fields were too wet. UGH. Better luck next weekend-another tournament! I took him for shoes today because his toe was popping out of his sneakers-the kid is wearing a 5 1/2 shoe! Good grief...guess he's taking after his dad who wears a 13!
Greg: Studying like a mad-man for part 1 of his CFA exam, held in June. Every waking minute that he's not working, he's studying. Playing ice hockey when he's not studying some nights and traveling lots this month too..been quite busy around here!
Me: I did it...I started my own "business"!! I have changed the name to Oopsie Daisy Designs and now have an online store! Come visit me at
http://oopsiedaisydesignsnc.etsy.com/ and let me know what you think! I am selling hair bows, headbands, bow holders, and baby blankets.
Hmm...what else? SNOW...we had our annual snowfall last weekend! We got about 3/4" on Saturday, and the kids still had a snow day on MONDAY! Fun times sledding down the driveways and streets! And, we took the house off the market for now...so that is a relief for the time being. Not sure what will come of that right now. Other than that, we are just waiting for our new nephew to arrive in May/June!!! We have packed up all the baby gear in our house into a moving crate and it will be leaving for MA in the morning. I didn't realize how big my attic really is... :)
