Snow Day!

Tuesday morning, we awoke to a beautiful snowfall, which allowed us to have our first "snow day" from school in two years! The kids could not wait to get outside and play! We don't have snow gear anymore, so we made do with sneakers, sweats and our pool float!

Poor little Lauryn. She was still not feeling well and this is as close as we let her get to her first snow! The boys, however, did bring her in a snowball and some ice to touch!

He did it again!!

Jared has done it again! This week his 2nd grade class had their second timed test of the year. They had 7 minutes to complete the test and had to score an 85% or better-and he aced it! 100%!! All that hard work paid off, again!! Congratulations Jared!! We love you! (now we can relax for a while :)

God's Calling...

After serious discussions in our household lately about what we expect for behavior and discipline, Jared really took it to heart. The other night, he asked to read his bible, which he couldn't find. I gave him mine, but it was too much for him. He decided to go into his devotional book we bought a few years back and later that night he called me into his room. He showed me a devotional on "Honoring your Mother and Father" and told me that he felt God was calling him to read it right then. I am so proud of my big boy-he truely gets what being a Christian is all about!
