Hockey Finale

Tonight was the big game under the lights! The Lightning finished the season with a loss, but they had a great time! Jared had the opportunity to play as a player instead of Goalie, and he loved it! He's #6.

Brandon still has no idea that he is any smaller than the other kids and usually chooses to do the face offs against the biggest kid out there. He's #3.

Trophy Time! Coach Greg/Daddy gave a nice speech and gave all the kids awards and trophies on the rink. Brandon was awarded "Most Fluid Skater" and Jared was awarded "Most Incredible Shot". They had a blast this season!

Report Cards...

The boys have received their first quarter report cards this week and both kids are doing phenominal at school.

Brandon's teacher says what a hard worker he is and how well he does getting down to business. He is also a good friend. Brandon will be a pilgrim boy in the Thanksgivng play this year.

Jared's teacher says she is impressed how easily he has picked up math concepts and what a great reader he is. His second grade class is doing ERB standardized testing all week this week. Jared is so excited to start learning cursive handwritng next week.

Here's hoping for a project free few weeks here before the holidays arrive!

My mom came down for a visit this weekend and we had the chance to celebrate her birthday with her. Happy Birthday MEME!!!

We spent lots of time playing, shopping, eating yummy chocolate cake and halloween candy. Thanks for coming down to visit us Meme!! We love you!

Happy Halloween!!!

So here they are, the stars of the show! We had a blast on Halloween! Brandon dressed as Darth Vader, Lauryn was a black cat, and Jared was Obi-wan Kenobi.

All the families in the cul-de-sac got together for dinner and then went off trick-or-treating. The kids had so much fun! Lauryn had a blast too. She learned very quickly how to say trick or treat, and figured out the process of getting candy in her bucket and waving bye to each neighbor after the deposit! She was just too cute! The boys had so much candy that we had to empty their buckets into a grocery bag and carry it for them.
Yesterday, the boys and I spent some time working on carving their pumpkins. They helped as much as they could, but I ended up doing most of the work. Brandon picked a two-faced man, and Jared picked a spider. It took me a little over an hour to clean out and carve both pumpkins. They were thrilled with the end results!
